Emily is described by her colleagues as smart, thorough, and soft-spoken. She began her education at Loyola University in Chicago where she earned her bachelor's degree in Psychology with a minor in Marketing. After graduation she began her professional career in the Financial Systems department at Northwestern University. While there, she decided to take a few accounting classes as she was already interested in the subject matter and wanted to explore opportunities in the field.
In 2010, she decided to enroll at the University of Illinois at Chicago to earn her MBA with a concentration in Accounting. Right around the same time she joined Mitchell, Vaught & Taylor, Inc. Investment Advisors in Chicago, where she worked as Chief Financial Officer. Her primary focus was on municipal consulting where she worked with the accounting and audit needs of municipalities. She assisted portfolio managers with fixed income management, investment data and analysis, and client tax and reporting.
In 2018, she founded Propel Financial Advisors, LLC along with Danielle Woods, David Vaught and Amanda Vaught. Her focus as a financial advisor is on financial planning and tax issues along side CFO and compliance duties.
Emily passed her Series 65 exam to be a Registered Investment Advisor Representative in 2012 and after the completion of her MBA, she passed her CPA exams and became licensed in IL.
Emily enjoys music, food and local culture. She plays the drums and gives lessons in her spare time. Emily lives in Chicago with her husband.
Danielle is described by her colleagues as motivated, dependable and upbeat. Danielle's career in client finances began quite by accident in 1998. She had just completed her bachelor's degree in History at North Central College in Naperville, Illinois, where she learned a love of research, writing and analyzing information. She chose to work for one year before beginning law school and found herself hired by Mitchell, Vaught & Taylor, Inc. Investment Advisors to assist with client needs and compliance. She continued on through law school and passed her Series 65 exam to be a Registered Investment Advisor Representative in 2001.
Danielle worked as a Senior Financial Advisor and Portfolio Manager for the firm, working with individual and institutional clients and their investment portfolios. Over the years, she found it difficult to separate tax issues from investment management and has made it a priority to encourage clients to think in terms of tax planning.
In December of 2018, she founded Propel Financial Advisors, LLC along with Emily Agosto, David Vaught and Amanda Vaught. Her focus as a financial advisor will continue to be on investment management with an emphasis on financial and tax planning.
Danielle earned her J.D. from Northern Illinois University College of Law in 2002, where she chose classes on tax, estate planning and securities law. She is licensed to practice law in Illinois and in Tennessee, where she moved in 2006 to be with her husband, a native Tennessean. She is a member of the Blount County Bar Association.
Danielle is an avid reader and enjoys cooking, gardening and travel. She is blessed to have friends, family and clients scattered all over the U.S., which helps to feed her travel bug. She also volunteers time with Blount County's Foster Care Review Board, so that she can stay involved with kids in need. She lives outside Knoxville, Tennessee, with her husband and their two sons.
